Wild & Cultured: A foraged cheese making experience November 22 @ 11am
🧀Wild & Cultured: A November Foraged Cheesemaking Experience on Cape Cod
Hosted by Two Goats School of Cheesemaking
Step into the slow rhythm of Cape Cod’s off-season and learn to craft cheese inspired by the land and sea. In this immersive, hands-on class, we’ll combine traditional cheesemaking techniques with foraged local ingredients, creating flavors that reflect the rugged beauty of a Cape Cod November.
Participants will make a wild herb chèvre (dependent on availability) or cultured soft cheese, flavor it with seasonal foraged finds, and enjoy a rustic tasting board featuring local breads & preserves.

🧀What You’ll Learn
Basics of home cheesemaking: milk selection, culturing, curd cutting, draining, and flavoring.
How to identify and responsibly forage wild coastal and woodland ingredients in late autumn.
How to pair and preserve local wild flavors with cheese.
The art of plating a wild Cape-inspired cheese board.
🌾Foraging & Flavoring Highlights(All ingredients vary with the week and location)
Sea salt & kelp harvested from local beaches
Wild cranberries and bayberry leaves
Pine needles for smoked salt infusion
Rose hips and juniper berries for tart and floral notes
Wild thyme, oregano, and mugwort for herb blends
Local honey and fermented garlic for sweet-savory balance
🔥Hands-On Experience
Forage Walk — A guided exploration of nearby dunes, forest edges, or salt marshes, collecting a few safe and flavorful ingredients.
Make the Cheese — Hands-on lesson turning fresh local milk into a soft, spreadable cheese using cultures and rennet.
Infuse & Flavor — Blend your cheese with foraged ingredients, herbs, and salt.
Taste & Create — Build a mini wild-inspired cheese board with accompaniments like rustic bread, Cape cranberries, and local preserves.
Warm Gathering — (weather permitting) End the day by the fire or wood stove with a glass of wine, cider, or herbal tea and your finished cheese. ( please bring your own beverage to enjoy)
Classes are taught in my open and airy kitchen located at 45 Pilgrim Spring Rd, Wellfleet on Cape Cod.
All sales for classes are non refundable. In the event you can not attend after purchase please contact Sadie to discuss attendance at another scheduled class of the same or lesser value.
