Full Day of Cheese Making December 14th @ 10am

We are now offering a full day of cheese making! Shorter than our 3 day workshops but much longer than an afternoon, this class runs from 10-3, 5 hours on hands on cheesemaking!

In class we will first discuss sourcing your “good milk” for cheesemaking and problems that may arise with conventional store bought milk due to the ULTRA high heat pasteurization methods and homogenization methods used by factory farming.

We will discuss the six step process of making all cheeses and how that changes to poroduce cheddar specifically. You will learn more science then you thought was involved in cheesemaking down to the cultures and microbiology involved.

You will learn how to age your cheese to perfection and how to set up a home cheese cave as well as where to source all your equipment and supplies.

In this full day class you will make three cheeses. Havarti, Brie & Ricotta !

Monday 10-3pm (with break for lunch)

Feel free to bring any beverage to enjoy during class.

Classes are taught in my open and airy kitchen located at 45 Pilgrim Spring Rd, Wellfleet on Cape Cod.
